Role and Responsibilities

Ensure quality and safe delivery of home care services.
-
Participates in development and implementation of client plans of care per home care agency policy and procedure, as appropriate.

Participates in client case conferences according to home health care agency policy and procedure, if requested.

Information regarding client plans of care is submitted to the Home Care Supervisor in a timely manner.

Implements current Certified Nurse Aide services.

Service plans of care are discussed with the Sweet Maggie Ann’s Huntsville Homecare’s Supervisor on a regular basis.

Client assignments and reports are received from Sweet Maggie Ann’s Huntsville Homecare Supervisor.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
-
High school diploma or GED required.
-
Certified Nurse Aide certification required as obtained through successful completion of an approved program

Must have one year-full-time experience in personal care or an institutional setting, such as a hospital or nursing home
-
Must have one year full-time experience within the last five years in direct client care in a home care agency setting
-
Evidence of sympathetic attitude toward care elderly.

Demonstrated ability to read, write, and carry out directions.
-
Evidence of maturity and ability to deal effectively with job demands
-
Good verbal and written communications skills required.
-
Attends (8) hours of personal care oriented in services per year.

Participates in professional meetings when directed
-
Shall have a criminal history check conducted prior to being offered work with this agency.

Ability to work closely supervised to ensure competence in providing client care.
Physical Demands

Must be able to read & write English.

Must be physically able to lift, bending and stand for long periods of time.

Must be able to handle stressful situations due to client’s medical conditions.
-
Must adhere to assigned and agreed work schedule.
-
Able to drive up to 50 + miles per day.
-
Must maintain professional appearance and good personal hygiene.
